Meal Train
There is a Newman couple who is coping and learning a new lifestyle centered around one of them living with dementia. The person who cared for the home and made most of the meals is the one who can no longer plan and create a meal. The spouse is trying but would appreciate a break from planning and deciding what to eat one day a week. We have a basic outline for delivery instructions, likes and dislikes and more. The meal may be dropped off or you may make arrangements to stay and and eat the evening meal with them. The location is in South St. Cloud.
Our hope is to have 12 willing cooks rotate with the goal of each of us serving this family once every 3 months.
Can you help? If so please call Jo Hennen at 320-250-0456 or Pam Weber at 320-252-1974. Sign up will be via Ministry Scheduler Pro here (under "Full Schedules" and then Meal Train where it says "volunteer now"). The signup is best viewed on a computer rather than a smartphone.

Altar Bread baking
Seeking 3 more volunteers who are willing to take turns making the altar bread used during our Sunday masses. We welcome newcomers. The process is easy and takes about 2 hours. Baking takes place during the week at Newman Center. The next time we will gather is mid-September.
To get involved, look for sign-up sheets in both lobbies, or contact Barb at barbpladson@gmail.com. We also hope to set up a web signup option soon.

Quilters Needed!
Here at Newman Center we have a tradition of giving prayer quilts to parishioners who are ill, babies baptized at Newman, longtime members who move away, those who have lost a loved one, etc.
We are still low on quilts.
If you are a talented quilter consider helping in this ministry. Quilts are small, generally less than 42 inches wide.
We prefer to use cotton fabric, not fleece, and quilts are machine quilted, not tied. If you have unused cotton fabric at home, consider donating it. And of course, if you only dream of making quilts but don’t sew, monetary donations are welcome to offset the price of batting, thread, and fabric. Prayer quilts will be blessed during Mass several times a year. Thanks to the talented quilt makers; we always look forward to seeing these creations.
